Russia (Russian: Россия, Rossiya, the Russian Federation, Russian: Российская Федерация, Rossiyskaya Fiedieracyja, listen and Russian) - the state extending from eastern Europe through the northern part of Asia to the Pacific Ocean. Russia is the largest country in the world in terms of area and the sixth largest in the history of the world. In terms of population occupies the 9th place. Russia is the largest economies in the world in terms of GDP occupies 6th place in the world. The Russian state has the world's largest natural resources and energy sources. Russia is a member of many international organizations, including United Nations Security Council, G20, the Customs Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Community, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and plays a significant role in world politics.
